BLEU, a Blowdry Bar is a blowout focused hair salon that offers a niche service to accommodate ladies who hope to achieve that perfect hair or makeup application for any special event, wedding, birthday, anniversary, ladies night out or just a random Tuesday!. Opened 2013 in Old Metairie Village, BLEU offers an easy alternative to get that perfect look without the fuss of long-lead appointment times often found at your traditional salon. Opened seven days a week, there is always a reason to stop by and let our seasoned “BLEU Krewe” help you look and feel your best!
Our ideal client is virtually any lady – from 3 to 93 – looking to feel beautiful…whether from a dry style, blowout, or up do to a makeup application or hair/eyelash extensions. You can say we have become quite the household name to our clients throughout Old Metairie ever since.
Forgoing the franchise route and in using my own high standards as the benchmark, I was able to create a venue and vibe where our clients came relax, be pampered and look and feel fabulous for any occasion. With brands such as Living Proof and Moroccan Oil, tools from Bio Ionic and a relaxing atmosphere of grays, whites, and of course, BLEU, once you enter the salon, the BLEU Krewe will have you looking and FEELING your best, champagne in hand.
A BLEU Blowout starts with a relaxing brush out and thorough consultation with a member of our BLEU Krewe. Once a style is decided, a relaxing shampoo and conditioning experience happens, your hair is sectioned and blown dry. We finish off with a style of your choosing, named similar to ways you might order your favorite drink, including “On The Rocks, Shaken, With a Twist or Neat”.
This achieved beautifully styled hair that should last for days to come.
If you are looking for a little more than a blowout, don’t worry – our BLEU Krewe would never leave you out to dry! We also offer additional services including mask masks, makeup applications, hair and lash extensions, Keratin treatments and even On Location services for bridal parties and special events.
BLEU’s mission is to provide a first class, luxury styling experience while using exclusive techniques and superb products without the fuss of long-lead times usually found at a traditional salon.
